The Procedure
A dental crown is typically completed over two visits, ensuring a precise, comfortable fit.
Consultation & Assessment
Dr Kal examines the tooth, takes X-rays if needed, and discusses the best crown material for your situation all-ceramic, zirconia or porcelain-fused.
Tooth Preparation
The tooth is reshaped under local anaesthetic to create space for the crown. Detailed impressions are taken and sent to our specialist laboratory.
Temporary Crown
A temporary crown protects your tooth whilst your bespoke crown is handcrafted usually 2 weeks.
Fitting
Your permanent crown is tried in, checked for fit, bite and colour, then cemented in place. Final adjustments ensure a comfortable, natural result.
Longevity & Aftercare
Modern all-ceramic and zirconia crowns are exceptionally durable and can last for decades with the right care.

Care for your crown exactly as you would a natural tooth brush twice daily, floss around it, and attend regular check-ups and hygiene appointments. Avoid chewing ice or very hard foods. A night guard may be recommended if you grind your teeth.
